when we Ignore the cost

I’m an optimist by nature. Don’t confuse that with being optimistic about picking a winner in the discord between what nature needs and what humans think they need. The data tells us today - nature is not winning. It also tells us the loss of biodiversity and ecosystems are an unsustainable path, at least in regards to the natural systems we enjoy today and that we hope our children will inherit.
